Wards Signmakers of Bristol were requested to manufacture a special project for Westonbirt Arboretum – signs of a bespoke style and shape that could be safely placed outdoors and moved according to needs.
The signs were manufactured in our comprehensive metal workshop out of aluminium, machined and welded to suit the required design. These were then stove enamel painted (painted in a tough coating and then oven baked) in a specific Pantone colour.
These signs were a good example of bespoke sign making, because this is not an “out of the box” design, but rather a bespoke type of Signage conceived by designers to fit the scenery and area. Naturally, the Wards Metal shop were able to produce/pioneer the concept into a functioning piece of furniture. Our in-house paint shop, which is able to mix paint as required, met the requirements and the final details were silk screen printed on resulting in a vandal resistant end product.
