Read about our mounted bronze plaque Royal Warrant Coats of Arms. This case study discusses what we did for the well-known brands' of John Lewis and Fortnum & Mason.
Wards Signs of Bristol were asked to produce a coat of arms for Royal Warrant holders Metro Imaging which had it’s own backing tray. The tray would add to the visual magnitude of the coat of arms, making it stand out more as the piece of art that it is.
The Coat of Arms (cast in solid aluminium and then hand painted) and the citation plate (also solid cast aluminium) are fixed to the aluminium tray with engineering screws holes for which had been drilled and tapped to suite in our factory. The backing tray is fabricated from 3mm aluminium which has been folded and welded into a solid shape and then put through our paint workshop, which is able to paint to any colour, finished in “stoved” enamel paint.
Metro Imaging has the Royal Warrant as Photographic Printers and Suppliers for His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. Wards of Bristol (Alliance Engraving) also provide the service of Gold Golding (coating with Gold Leaf). Royal Warrants & Citation Plates, Plaques, Coats of Arms, Letters and other pieces may be coated with pure gold, which has a truly stunning visual effect.
